Service Department Manager – Norfolk, VA
Lead Our Roofing Service Team in Hampton Roads
 
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
Location: Norfolk, VA (servicing the Hampton Roads area)
Relocation Assistance: Available
 
Are you ready to lead a high-impact service operation in one of Virginia’s most active commercial markets?
 
A top-tier roofing and exterior services firm is looking for a Service Department Manager with commercial roofing experience to oversee and expand service operations throughout the Hampton Roads region . This role is critical to driving both customer retention and revenue growth and presents a prime opportunity to build a service-first culture within a growing regional office.
 
Role Highlights:

• Direct oversight of all service team operations in the Hampton Roads area.
• Set and manage departmental goals around performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with sales leadership to execute a scalable service sales strategy.
• Maintain and improve department performance metrics, job costing, and client satisfaction.
• Hire, train, and develop technicians and service managers.
• Deploy operational technology (e.g., Procore, Salesforce) to improve tracking, billing, and scheduling.
• Lead P&L responsibility and oversee all budgeting, forecasting, and fleet maintenance.
• Engage in strategic planning to increase local market share.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5–7 years’ commercial roofing experience, with at least 3 years managing service/warranty work.
• Working knowledge of multiple roof systems: Single Ply, BUR, Modified, Coatings, Metal, Tile, and Shingles.
• OSHA 10 (minimum); OSHA 30 preferred.
• English/Spanish bilingual proficiency strongly preferred.
• Software experience: Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Procore, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with fleet operations and maintenance a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights using ladders and lifts.  

Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

• OSHA 30
• CERTA
• Forklift, Rigging, Crane CCL, and Manlift Training
• Manufacturer-specific training
