Job Description

We’re hiring a detail-oriented, resourceful Virtual Assistant to support two growing service-based businesses:

* Travel for Smiles – a family-focused travel agency helping busy families plan unforgettable vacations
* Amazing Lawns by Stew – a local lawn care company offering dependable, year-round service

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a small business environment, can juggle multiple responsibilities, and enjoys researching, organizing, and strategizing. You will work alongside a social media VA (who handles design and posting), so your focus will be on content ideas, admin support, research, planning, and communication.

Responsibilities:

For Travel for Smiles (T4S):

* Research trending travel topics, seasonal destinations, and audience interests to help generate content ideas
* Suggest weekly post topics, Reels ideas, and blog/email newsletter angles for busy families and travelers
* Track supplier training updates, promos, and group trip opportunities (training provided)
* Organize leads, client lists, trip tracking, and follow-up tasks
* Monitor inbox, flag high-priority items, and assist in organizing email workflows
* Help with simple group trip promotion support (forms, tracking sign-ups, Q&A summaries)

For Amazing Lawns by Stew (ALBS):

* Suggest seasonal content ideas (e.g., “Lawn Tip Thursday,” before/after post themes, FAQs)
* Track referrals and free service credits in a spreadsheet
* Organize client routes, track completion dates, and prepare service reminder messages
* Coordinate with the owner to prep monthly newsletter talking points

Tools You’ll Use (or Learn):

* Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
* Canva (for reviewing designs—design handled by another VA)
* Facebook/Instagram (for researching trends and engagement)
* TravelJoy or supplier sites (for trip tracking and research)
* Square or CRM tools (for lawn care scheduling and invoicing support)
* Email marketing tools like Mailchimp or Flowdesk

Ideal Skills:

* Strong communication and written English
* Research skills and the ability to turn ideas into actionable suggestions
* Organized and detail-focused
* Self-motivated and eager to support multiple brands
* A plus if you have experience in travel, lawn/home services, or supporting small businesses

Position Details:

* 10–15 hours per week to start, with room to grow
* Flexible hours, though some overlap with Eastern Time is preferred
* Will work closely with the business owner and social media VA
* Training provided for specific systems and processes
* Pay based on experience and skill set
