Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Special Events and Volunteer Programs Coordinator to join our Advancement Team. This full-time, exempt, year-round position plays a vital role in planning and executing events that foster donor stewardship, community engagement, and volunteer appreciation at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with enthusiasm and professionalism.

This position reports to the Executive Director of Advancement and requires flexibility for evening and weekend work in support of school events and donor engagement efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of Advancement-related events throughout the year that support fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement goals.
  • Volunteer Engagement: Recruit, train, and support volunteers across all constituent groups, including parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, and staff.
  • Culture of Volunteerism: Foster a strong, mission-driven volunteer culture by encouraging involvement in fundraising and friend-raising activities.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the StAC Committee and Advancement Teacher Assistants to ensure effective support for events and initiatives.
  • Donor Stewardship: Support timely and personalized expressions of gratitude to donors, volunteers, and event participants.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, donor recognition, and event metrics to support stewardship and reporting needs.
  • Mission Representation: Promote the values and mission of St. Francis Borgia High School through all interactions with constituents and the broader community.
  • Confidentiality: Handle all constituent and school-related information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in event planning, volunteer management, or nonprofit work is desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and timelines effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging people and building community
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed
